Brew & Breathe: Oga’s Hidden Flavors and Forests – AKITA
Private Craft Sake Experience with Local Lunch & Nature Walk
Discover the essence of northern Japan through craft sake, heartfelt cuisine, and the quiet magic of Oga’s deep forests.
On the remote Oga Peninsula in Akita, far from Japan’s urban sprawl, a new kind of sake is being born. This private guided tour takes you to a pioneering craft sake brewery, introduces you to local cuisine, and leads you on a serene walk through Oga’s forests.

About the Experience
INE TO AGAVE’s philosophy is to “brew the Oga terroir”. This means not only producing sake that captures the spirit of Oga in a bottle, but also creating businesses beyond sake making that bring people together and enrich the local community.
To achieve this, the brewers believe it is essential to get to know the local people and understand Oga as a place.
Through a brewery visit, locally inspired lunch, and a walk in the forest, discover the people, flavours, and landscapes that make Oga special.
Itinerary
Visit the brewery, stroll around the neighbourhood, and enjoy a sake tasting. Learn about INE TO AGAVE’s philosophy of “brewing the Oga terroir” and its efforts to build a community and enrich the area for the future.
Enjoy Ogaya’s original signature ramen, developed in collaboration with the Sake Brasserie. Choose from two options:
Oga Shio Ramen: Made with Oga’s famous “Taki no Tō” spring water, Kogen Hinaiji chicken broth, 10-year-aged sake from Moroi Brewing, and mellow Oga salt. Topped with smoked pork marinated in salted kōji made from the brewery’s rice and kōji.
Oga Shoyu Ramen: Made with rich Highland Hinaiji chicken broth and soy sauce, offering a deep flavour, aroma, and sharp finish.
Take a 20-minute drive to discover the typical landscapes of the Oga Peninsula.
Admire the remarkable clarity of an emerald-green pond fed by spring water. Further into the forest, discover a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by dense trees and the gentle sound of flowing water — a place that feels like a world straight out of a film or fantasy.
