Lake Tazawa SUP Experience – AKITA

Lake Tazawa SUP Experience – AKITA

Stand-Up Paddleboarding on Japan’s Deepest Lake

Enjoy a stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) experience on Lake Tazawa, the deepest lake in Japan at 423.4 metres. Its striking cobalt-blue water, known locally as “Tazawako Blue”, offers exceptional clarity and a peaceful atmosphere.

Surrounded by mountains, the scenery around the lake transforms beautifully with each season, creating a stunning backdrop for your adventure.

About the Experience

Glide across the calm, crystal-clear waters of Lake Tazawa and see just how far down you can gaze into its blue depths.

With no strong currents or water flow, Lake Tazawa provides ideal conditions for SUP, even for beginners. Your instructor will teach you basic paddling techniques and how to manoeuvre your SUP board safely.

During the hot summer months, you may even have the chance to take a refreshing swim in the lake’s clear water.
